Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I just haven't had the time - what with following Rochdale's march towards Wembley and all that!!!!

 

The big news this week is the Whit Friday results. We only managed 6 venues this year, getting a soaking in the process! Our results were:

 

1 First Place (Lees & Springhead)

1 Second Place (Droylsden)

1 Second Best Local Band (Broadoak)

 

Not quite as successful as previous efforts but still not to be sniffed at!

 

 

 

John Ashworth completed his sponsored "3 Yorkshire Peaks" walk to raise funds for the band.

 

We are extremely grateful to John and his friends for doing this and we will give you an update on the amount raised as soon as we can.

 

 

 

Our Patrons Scheme is taking off well - we now have 19 people signed up and many more who have promised to do so.

There's not much else to report at the moment - we have a few weeks now before our next concert which is at St Andrew's Church in Dearnley followed by a joint concert in Wardle High School with Haslingden & Helmshore Band. Please see engagements for more details.
