The only bit of news this week is that one of our players (who shall remain nameless to save embarrasment) has struck again and tried to carry out some maintenance on her cornet! Last time it was the mouthpiece she boiled in Hydrochloric Acid or something similar to try and clean it and managed to strip it completely of it's lacquer!

This time she managed to prize the bell of her instrument away from the rest of it whilst cleaning a tuning slide - quite some achievement that!

You may notice a random picture of one of our CORNET players on this page - there is no particular reason why I chose this CORNET player!

Also, there's a little quiz for another of our players - again I won't name her but I just wondered if she could identify the sign on the right here - if so, it's a shame she couldn't do so when the test examiner was in the car with her this week!! At least it saved us from another woman driver on the loose for now eh, Quiggers!

On a more serious note, we should have more news next week after we have met this weekend to discuss our plans for the coming year so watch this space!
