Firstly Happy Birthday to our Eb Bass player, Callum Boardman for last Thursday.

 

No doubt Callum celebrated with a cup of coffee or two!!

 

Don't forget our next concert for the public is the the Mayor's Charity Concert at Holy Trinity Church this Friday, 18th April - tickets are £5 so please spread the word and contact any member of the band to buy yours.

 

 

 

 

 

We have a massive thank you to John from Littleborough Conservative Club for organising the Oompah night for us last week which raised us a massive amount of money. This was done through his Masonic Lodge and we really are grateful for their generosity.

 

It was a very enjoyable night for everyone and another big thank you to Brian Warrington for conducting and compering the evening.

We had a meeting this week to plan our fundraising events for the coming months. These include:

 

A "Friends of Anderson Brass" scheme

Joint Concert

Awards Night

Curry & Quiz Night

Car Rally

 

Further details will be posted on here very soon. Also, on the night, Lindsay Marson (right) was appointed as our Social Secretary - this will enable us to be much better organised for the events listed above, along with any other ideas we may have. This is great news for us as if anyone can sort out a good social event, it's our Lindsay!!

 

 

 

It was also decided at the meeting that we would look at the possibility of having a band trip in this country this year - possibly to Wales, but watch this space. The trip to Spain has been postponed until next year to enable us to raise some funds for the band.
