 Return to News

There's no much news this week as we have been again practising hard for Blackpool this Sunday so hopefully we'll have some good news to post then!

There are just a couple of things - firstly thanks to the school, and in particular Tony Sloan, the caretaker, for allowing us extra rehearsals this week.

Secondly, we have a few more details on the sponsored climb that John Ashworth and his friends are doing for the band.

They are taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge which is three mountains with over 5,000 feet of climbing in under 12 hours, covering 24.5 miles. The event is taking place on Saturday 3rd May and all proceeds are going to the band so if you would like to sponsor John, please see any member of the band or e-mail us at andersonbrass@tiscali.co.uk

The final thing to mention is that yesterday Callum tried his best to get out of playing on Sunday by getting himself run over at work!

He forgot to mention that it was an electric milk float that was just too fast for him mind you!!

Thankfully he wasn't too seriously injured so he should be fine for Sunday - and his pains will no doubt be erased soon after we have played!
